# Agent Relay

Messaging, MCP and workflow infrastructure so coding agents on one machine, or across machines, can share channels and history.

- Access and use: npm install -g agent-relay, or curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/AgentWorkforce/relay/main/install.sh | bash; read the script before running it. Needs Node.js 22 or 24. relay init defaults to this machine at http://127.0.0.1:8787. Hosted mode creates a workspace on Agent Relay Cloud so agents on other machines can join; treat the workspace key as a secret. It adds an MCP server to Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Grok CLI, Pi or Devin (project files or global configs). Local data lives under ~/.agentworkforce/relay/local. The project workspace key is kept out of git via .git/info/exclude. Apache-2.0.
