# OfficeCLI

A single-binary CLI that creates, reads and edits Word, Excel and PowerPoint files without installing Microsoft Office.

- Access and use: Installer is curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/iOfficeAI/OfficeCLI/main/install.sh | bash. Read the script before running it. Also brew install officecli, npm install -g @officecli/officecli, or GitHub Releases. officecli install puts the binary on PATH and writes a skill into coding agents it finds. Auto-update is on by default; officecli config autoUpdate false or OFFICECLI_SKIP_UPDATE=1 turns it off. Config lives in ~/.officecli. Built-in MCP: officecli mcp claude. Apache-2.0.
