Access and use

Runs locally with Node.js 18 or later through npx -y @xeroapi/xero-mcp-server@latest. Authenticate with a Xero Custom Connection (XERO_CLIENT_ID and XERO_CLIENT_SECRET) or a bearer token from your own OAuth flow (XERO_CLIENT_BEARER_TOKEN). Xero's developer docs say Custom Connections are only for organisations in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US and need an additional monthly subscription, but connect to the Demo Company free for development. The tools can create invoices, payments, bank transactions and manual journals and approve timesheets, so narrow XERO_SCOPES and start on the Demo Company. Payroll queries need an NZ or UK organisation. MIT.
