# YouTube Analytics API

Google's official API for targeted queries on a channel's own analytics, such as views, ratings, audience age, gender and country, and estimated revenue.

- For: Channel owners, agencies and the agents they authorise to report on a channel's performance.
- Access and use: Needs OAuth consent from the channel or content owner, so it cannot read another creator's private analytics unless they grant access. The yt-analytics.readonly scope covers activity metrics, revenue needs the separate yt-analytics-monetary.readonly scope, and Google sets a quota cost for each query. The YouTube API Services Terms and Developer Policies apply, including limits on storing data and on combining data from different content owners.
